Large patio windows lead you onto a covered lanai (Floridian for a covered patio) area where you can escape from the blistering afternoon sun, or occasional rainstorm. If you haven’t experienced a Florida rain storm you are in for a treat – when it rains its hard to believe so much rain can fall at once, and yet within minutes its as though it never occurred.

The lanai comes complete with luxury, upholstered chairs & table, and portable fan.

The pool deck’s main features are obviously the heated swimming pool and the spa. Heating for the pool and spa is an optional extra. Remember that this is a tropical climate and as such heating is not required for the majority of the year. We would recommend it from late November through to February. The same goes for the spa, whilst in the UK you would be wanting it steaming hot, in Florida a cooling spa is the order of the day.

The pool and spa are professionally maintained every week, when it is cleaned, checked and chemicals added.

State law requires that a safety fence be provided around the pool to ensure that unsupervised children cannot use the pool. This fence will be in place when you arrive. Should you not have children with you or wish not to utilise it can easily be removed and put to one side. However we recommend its use.

The complete pool deck is screened to keep out leaves and insects from the area. However this screen has no affect on the tanning effects of the sun.
There are upholstered sun loungers to help make soaking up the sun even more comfortable.

From the pool deck you have uninterrupted views over a natural grassland area and onto the citrus groves beyond that form part of the Florida orange juice industry.

The pool deck is quite private, as there are no villas to the rear. Immediate neighbours are both rarely seen local residents, who do not have pools, thereby providing more privacy.

To the rear of the pool deck there is an area of lawn complemented by a number of tropical plants and palms.

You will also find a box by the pool in which we have supplied a number of pool toys for the kids.

Apart from that there is a mass of clear blue sky – this is what I call ‘Big Sky Country’.
